He was involved in various projects on energy saving , including office buildings, department stores, shopping malls, residential apartments and school buildings. He specializes in energy saving planning, design, installation, and commissioning and management of HVAC facility and system. Mr. Zhao has extensive experience in building load dynamic simulation using DeST, energy-saving retrofit for large-size commercial and residential buildings, measurement and verification (M&V) and facility management. A number of projects managed and led by Jason were awarded by the Governments as ‘model projects’ in energy efficiency in China. For instance, “Shanghai Unicom” Project managed by Jason was nominated by the Ministry of Construction as one of the 200 National Demonstration Projects in Energy Efficiency and Green Building. This project was also ranked as one of the Top Ten Best Designs in China, Two energy-saving projects, one department store and one apartment building, both managed by Jason were selected by the Shanghai Municipal Construction Commission as energy saving demonstration projects. Project Specific Experience - Shanghai Unicom tower , 35000 square meter comprehensive energy retrofit and energy saving oriented facility management, 2008 - A large size office building (confidential owner), 60000 square meter, deep facility survey and sub-metering system, 2007 - An old apartment building, 1600 square meter, add the fourth floor on existing third floor, add envelope heat insulation layer, Low-E glass, and private WC for each family, 2007 - Tianshan Department Store, comprehensive energy saving update, 2008 - Qinghe Hotel (four-star). Managed and conducted heat recovery with a fresh air system 2004. - A 4000 square meter office building (confidential owner) comprehensive energy efficiency update includes envelope and mechanical system. 2008 - Installed ventilation systems for a basement parking area (30,000 m2), civil air-defense and stair well; installed an air conditioning system for a skirt commercial building.
